Satisfied by Afaan Oromo ft. Gifti Paulos

Gifti was honored when her friend and fellow worship leader, Marquis Dolford, approached her with an opportunity. Having served alongside him since 2014 at various churches, she thought he was asking her to sing along with him as he had done before. But this time, he was calling to say he wanted to translate his song into Afaan Oromo, her family's native language. Therefore, she quickly collaborated with others in the Ethiopian-Oromo community to translate and record the song. The song then spurred her to organize an event to celebrate the legacy of her great-great-grandfather Onesimus Nesib at her local Oromo church, in which she, Marquis, and his band sang the song together. If that wasn't enough, she was surprised to learn that Marquis entered the song in the 2024 Wammie Music Awards, which reached the finalist level in the Best World/Global category.
